  • School Closings due to Weather
    The decision to close the schools comes from the Central Office of CPS; principals do not make this decision. CPS does not close individual schools due to weather; they either close all the schools in the system or none of the schools. If you question if the schools are closed due to the weather the best way to obtain this information is to call the CPS main phone number at 773/553-1000 and listen to the bulletin recording.

    • PTA Book Fair

    The Lincoln School PTA sponsors its annual Book Fair on January 27 (9:15 AM – 4:00 PM) and January 28 (9:15 AM – 3:00 PM and then 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM) and transforms the school gymnasium into an amazing book emporium. Come shop with your child(ren) to purchase books and support literacy. Students will go to the book fair with their classes and you may shop with them if you like. The Book Fair will be open until 8:00 PM on January 28 in conjunction with the Winter Open House. Students and parents are encouraged to come to the book fair and Open House.

    • Winter Open House

    Accompany your child(ren) on January 28, 6:00-8:00 PM, as they proudly take you on a tour of their school and classroom. Meet the teachers, Lincoln families, and enjoy your neighborhood school. All our students, accompanied by their parents, are encouraged to attend.

    • Prospective Parent Open House
      February 3rd, 9:15-10:30 AM, is our next open house for prospective parents that are interested in learning more about Lincoln Elementary School.
    • Save the Date - Friends of Lincoln Auction

    Saturday, March 6th is the scheduled date of the annual Friends of Lincoln Auction. This is an important fund-raiser for the school as 100% of the proceeds fund programs for our children. The annual FOL auction is a time for parents/guardians and friends come together to celebrate the school and its community. More information to follow in the next few weeks.

    • College Day at Lincoln School

    On Friday, March 12th we encourage all students, teachers, staff, etc. to wear a college T-shirt, sweatshirt, or any other appropriate clothing with a college/university name. Choose your alma mater, choose a college team from the March Madness, or choose a local college. Order your college clothing today.
